I'm in the process of collecting the parts together also for my retrofit and I have the sunroof so whoever gets them first can comment on how easy it was to get it past the sunroof Laughing Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Hi all,

yesterday I received mirror (maybe the most difficult part is get the mirror, imposible to buy new and hard to find in ebay) and I did the retrofit.

Thanks @mmbanf for share you experience, was very helpfull!!!

So... I used a 3 metres long Fraka blue connector (original repair wired is ordered, pending to receive, but can't wait to install!!! Rolling Eyes )

I also have panoramic roof, and most of time was used to wire... I did it this way:

1 was easy, from antena I was able to reach alpin window
2 located a "hole" and with a long wood (yes a wood used to guide plants...)
3 I reach roof light and with help of long "tool"
4 I sent wired to the front
5 dismantle roof console and with my arm, I was able to locate wire inside roof, blue arrow
6 From roof console to mirrow mount !!!!!!

Connect, modify CCF and...

In couple of hours retrofit done!!! In my case most tricky part...wire in the roof...

I was surprise difference betwen both mirors:

Againg big thanks to Marco for show the way...

Next one... big display???

Cheers.

Important!!! if you have Secure Tracker, don't forget to put Service Mode in InControl app... or you will receive and alarm... Your car has been stoled!!!! after disconnect antenna...

And you need to call and say that was you, no problem in your car... Embarassed

Well I've just fitted mine and it's working perfectly, I actually went down the opposite side to Clark4x4. I managed to get my wire down to the 2nd row interior light without any problems, I have the panoramic roof, getting the wire from there to the front was difficult as I couldn't get my hand in the console gap so I had to enlist the help of a family member with small hands Laughing They were able to reach into the gap above the headlining and retrieve the wire. I used a fish tape wire puller similar to this one --> Wire Puller

I used the Land Rover repair cable LR164584 and the 3M extension cable from Jason at In Car Connections --> Cable as per Marco's instructions

Thanks to Marco for doing it and sharing his methods and also thanks to clark4x4 for the tip about the service mode in the app

Fantastic job and wonderful post!! I'm ordering parts this week. One Q: I have a sun roof, did the cable come with plenty of slack? Wondering how much of a pain it will be to route it if it is tight and short. Thanks and well done.

I have a 110 with the panoramic roof and the 3m Extension Cable combined with the repair cable LR164584 is more than enough, I actually coiled up the excess and wrapped it in foam to wedge it back into the roofspace. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Well done guys, great job!

Would you mind sharing where did you manage to get the mirror from? Perhaps you have the parts number? 3.0L MHVE D200 S Pangea Green+Black Pack

These are the part numbers for the parts for my car, which is a MY2022 D200 SE without garage opener buttons

Mirror LR140339 £897.76

Fin Camera LR140530 £223.16

Camera Cover LR117853 £117.38

Cable LR164584 £30.25

Which gives a total of £1268.56

You will also need a Fakra cable from Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325234838660 Which is about £10

If you keep an eye on Ebay the parts do seem to pop up quite regularly, the camera can be had for about £200-250, it is the same one as fitted to the Defender, Evoque, Disco Sport. Just make sure that the connectors are the same as the ones on Marco's photo earlier in the thread, also most of them on Ebay are the camera and cover together. As for the mirror it would seem that the one fitted to the Defender only fits the Defender and again can be found for about £200-250 on Ebay. You will need the Land Rover repair cable and depending on whether you have a 110 or 90 you will need the Fakra cable from Ebay, if you have a 90 a shorter cable will do. Although I have a 110 and the cable listed above was more than long enough

There was a camera on Ebay with a scratched topside, I discounted this one because of the damage but Powerful UK now do a repair cover which would hide the scratches. https://www.powerfuluk.com/clearsight-roof...-l663.html

Also most of the breakers on Ebay will accept offers so definitely try a cheeky offer before buying:thumbsup: Cheers Ian

The part number for the Defender also fits the Evoque & Disco Sport, but I would just make sure that the connectors are the same as the photos Marco posted on page one Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

I have a discovery sport 2020 with the clearsight mirror that I am about to sell as I have my defender and wondered if I could remove the mirror and shark fin antenna and fit them to my defender.

My 2020 disco sport clearsight mirror appears to have a different fitting. Not the round twisting one on my defender mirror. Presumable this type of fitting isn’t compatible is it? Does anyone know?

I could see the back of the mirrors posted on here
