Yes but to relocate it behind the light panel flap. I cant see why this wouldnt work, i suppose unless you went deeper than it? Mike |

My 110 has had another ride on the back of a recovery truck. It started to make strange engine combustion noises when changing gear and accelerating away again, mostly from cold. It was also starting to get a bit shaky when starting up from cold. The dealers will be looking at it next week so we will see what happens.

i have relocated my one behind the rear panel but that was about novemeber last year tect said they pull so much crap in the tank should have been drained last year and the fuel lines flushed through no wading ever done in my one
dealer as just rang did i fill it up with petrol i will keep you posted |

Just had a word with the dealers and they have replaced I think the pressure relief valve and also said that there was again water in the diesel. Last year I had the same and had the injectors , pump and fuel rail changed and the breather re located behind the flap at the rear of the wheel arch.
So tank drained and new filter fitted and system flushed out. I have not been wading or off roading as its a tow vehicle for the caravan and LR trialer. Does this mean that the official fix does not work. I have seen pictures of extending the breather but does this mean if I do this myself that will affect any future warranty issues on the fuel systems. Tony |

its back
i moved the breather pipe in november last year so it had been sucking water for over a year so the tank had loads of crap in it dealer did not carry out the TB problem is the pump is engine mounted not in the tank as the TD5 it had two. so the tank breather is pulling more air all the time it may mean the TDCi is more Prone to water in the fuel Than the TD5 some could be coming from the pumps as well dan |

Very simple - unclip it from it's position behind the passenger side rear wheel inside the wheel arch, lift the base of the black plastic flap that shields the passenger side rear lights, and push the tube up the LHS (looking to the back of vehicle) behind the plastic flap. |

No - not at all - the area where the breather is placed is still outside the vehicle's interior. |
