Hi
I replaced an in tank fuel pump on a TD5 a few years ago. The best price back then was offered by Maltings who will provide a further discount if you join their mailing list. From what I remember the TD5 fuel tank is a different shape to the one fitted in the TD5 Discovery and therefore the level float assembly is different. I remember finding cheap fuel pumps but they were for Disco's. I would only fit a VDO, Lucas or (if you can find one) Bearmach fuel pump as the cheap Chinese ones don't appear to last that long. There is a great write up on the forum on fitting a circular marine waterproof hatch to change the tank fuel pump. I went down this route as it looks really professional as is what really should have been factory fitted for ease of access to to pump. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275341558658?fi...R7aivdq5ZQ Jim |

Hi
VDO is the pumps that your Landy would have been fitted with at the factory, but branded Land Rover. They are £250+ but sometimes you can find them on special offer. Lucas is a good pump and as you have a hatch cut already you can always easily change in the future. Below is the link I used for my hatch: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic71836...pump+hatch Jim |

Disco ones fit just swap the float arm assembly over, that's what's in mine.
