No. Pull the rubber cap off and you’ll see the splines at the drive member.

I'd recommend giving the external surfaces of the LOF shafts a bit of paint before fitting, mine went orange on the exposed flange part pretty quickly Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

I don’t think they come painted, merely sponged with some black food colouring Laughing
Was cleaning the mating surfaces of my lof shafts, and wiped across the exposed surface, removing all black coating without even trying.

Gave them a proper clean and a coat of buzzweld Chassis in one Thumbs Up

Solid half shafts now installed. Very happy, driveline clunk gone and much smoother to drive. Well worth the upgrade and the LOF shafts were not that expensive.
