HELP - Speaker Size for lower Dashboard
Hey friends I am in the process of ordering parts to put a stereo in my D90. Mine is older and does not have speakers in the lower dash and I plan on adding them. I know clearance can be an issue so I already have designed some 3d printable spacers to take care of depth clearance.

However my main question is what diameter. I have a pair of 4" and 5.25" on order. What would you recommend? Thank you 1989 Defender 90

I have just replaced mine with 4" which is the same as was originally in there. If you are retro-fitting then 5 1/4" may fit but it may be tight.

I think 4” will fit without spacers, but the 5.25” will need them. I started with the smaller ones, but moved on to the 5.25”.

Whichever side has the wiper motor is the issue. Donald

Thank you Donald, this is exactly the comment I was looking for, as I will have to cut holes and would like to do it once... I can easily make a spacer to push out the 5.25'. Cheers! 1989 Defender 90
