Seat Box side access ?
Hi
Has anyone fitted one of these? I am looking at something to access the box which on a pre tdci is an empty space. I cant think of any drawbacks unless I have missed something

I did think about fitting one of these to Millie when they first came out but i decided against it as it's easier to see what your looking for from the top rather than the side with the possibility of the items falling out Very Happy Clayton.

Looks quite smart! Dunno if there's much difference with a 130, but I've seen slide out drawers custom made, but these require the little triangular body plate to swivel outward in order for the drawer to clear the body work. I'll see if I can dig up a photo. Defender 130 HCPU Td5 MY2000

I've seen it done many times over the years, especially when replacement seats have been fitted which impede access. Bear in mind on later vehicles there is very little clearance between the panel and the door card though.

Make sure you seal up the box as well if you're putting anything water sensitive in there. Mine is always full of dust and splashes 😂

On my 2015 110, the plastic corner protectors over the carpet have marked the door card. They can't be more than 3mm thick!
