Karlos,
The links you posted are from St Sampson in Guernsey OX4X4....I have spoken to them at length! We travel to Guernsey three times a week at present. I can possibly get them cheaper if anyone wants them from the same place! 'PM' me if interested. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! As ever Karlos I did a lot of research, the bonnet ones are the best I've seen and have bought a set off them.
However a word of caution.... This is taken from the stainless door hinge description from OX4X4.... "TD5 and TDCI hinges have a slightly larger foot print. This will not cause an installation problem but may leave a "tidemark" if the paint is faded." When I removed my original hinges the Puma does NOT have a top paint layer or lacquer. Basically the vehicle has been sprayed after the original hinges were fitted. Hence I did not go for the OX4X4 smaller footprint ones as never mind a tidemark, it would have been an undercoat mark. The Stig ones are better and do not look like they're off a Volvo....square and box-like! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! We going to Guernsey a fair bit as well. My wife has just applied for a job there and my sister in law is a GP there. Opps, de-rail! |

Nice finish, just the shape and 'smaller footprint' that put me off. Just as well judging by the lack of paint finish when my old ones came off, would have been undoubtedly returning them had I gone for them and missed the bit about the smaller size! The ones I opted for are cast and have slightly deeper bolt recesses on the pillar side of the hinge but the footprint is exactly the same as original, so no tidemark, undercoat mark, skidmark or any other mark you can think of!
