I have now found a step by step walk through of installing a green 10as on a puma on the Nanocom forums so will give it a go when the Christmas dust settles

A key thing is to resync the 10AS to the engine ECU, which the Nanocom can now do.

Yes
I spent a good few hours researching how to do this with the Nanocom last night. I’ll get to it after the festivities |

The Nanocom has a function in ecu to “resynch ecu” when this is pressed the option to synch immobiliser appears and it does this immediately. No flashes or beeps.
Truck started first try after this |

As I thought, a 10AS to engine ECU resync would be key.
What is worrying is that your 10AS randomly lost sync to the Engine ECU. This is not normal behaviour. I wonder if power to the 10AS was lost at some point. So worth double checking connectors and fuses are seated well. Last edited by Ianh on 27th Dec 2024 8:28pm. Edited 1 time in total |

All connections and fuses were cleaned and checked before purchasing another unit. The expired unit is from 1996 and the “new “ one is from 1995. I will split the old one and examine it for dry joints and may even have it repaired for future use. The nearly 30 years of age of the expired unit could be part of the issue and one I could be dealing with the next one
