When i was having cooling issues with my V8 the twin SPA came in so handy, fitted a high capacity radiator from G M radiator in Glasgow 0141-550-5800 used the standard OAT mix, i think it was 30% with a bottle of water wetter, so far so good.

Not got a bracket sorted yet as my pipes are quite stiff even when warm but will definitely be sorting something soon.

Fitted same as mine, no bracket on mine either. I am leaving mine as is.

As an aside you dont need the fuel temp sender. I found filters kept leaking using the bmw filter and housing as you have. Swapped it out for an inline one in the end cheaper too.

Mine 232bhp used to sit around 90 to 100 head temp on a road driving less than 2k rpm. Increase rpm and temp drops.

Motorway would see higher temps at 60mph than 70mph unless you locked gbox down a gear at 60 then temp would go down, fuel consumption up.

Since modifying stat, which is prob a bit too modified she sits 75 to 85. I try to keep her under 90, they don't need to run so hot without the dpf stuff fitted. Prior to ewp she would go up to 115 on a steep climb towing now sits around 85/90 which I am far happier with.

I went for basic ewp controller where you just set the temp for.it to come on at. Feed from top hose. This seems to work well for me and myset.

My 184 just has an aux 40lpm 12v pump in heater pipeline to aid water flow, its out this weekend so will see how that fairs.

Both mine on alisport rads. Cheers

Marcus at MWmachines fitted the filter housing and sender when he did the conversion, to be fair it hasn’t shown any sign of leaking yet but it’s good to know the sender isn’t needed and if it all plays up there’s a good alternative, have you got a link or name for the filter you used?
I’d be interested to see how your 184 gets on with the aux pump, my thinking was that the l322 and BMWs fitted with the m57 had aux pumps for the heater and that they may have done more to help the coolant flow than I first thought.

Its out tomorrow so will see how aux pump.goes.

Yes my thinking was same ref aux pump and l322s.

Freelander 2 filter. Or just search bmw inline filter fuel.

I would use that one but gives you idea and mpn. Cheers
