Td5 maf sensor cost
Good evening
Looks like I need a new maf sensor, having looked there is a big difference between genuine at £80-100 and aftermarket which paddocks do one for £20 something
Is the extra £60 odd quid worth it
Thanks

Map it out instead. Not worth the cost and itll fail again in a year. Only the genuine/vdo/siemens ones work. Instagram @defender_ventures

I do like all parts of my car to work as intended, but agree that changing a non-working out with an expensive Siemens MAF did not make much of a difference.

I recall that data is mainly used to operate the EGR system??

Minor control on fueling, fairly pointless item. They where not fitted to every TD5, the ROW spec TD5s did not have them. Instagram @defender_ventures

Thanks chaps
I’m going to put the multimeter on the old one to check it.
It’s struggling to want to go much past 50mph, iv swapped the injector harness and cleaned out the red plug numerous times, I’ve freed up the actuator arm, the latter got rid of the kangarooing it was doing under hard acceleration
I disconnected the maf tonight and took it out for a brief drive and I think there was a improvement but couldn’t fully tell as it was only a country lane
