I've had a Southdown combined tank guard and detachable drop plate on my 300Tdi 110 for quite a few years. It's a product that is no longer available.
I could do with a spare drop plate as I regularly use my vehicle in 2 different places and get fed up with carting the (very solid and heavy) drop plate around just in case I need it, taking it off to off-road, putting it back on to go back to the other place, taking it off again etc, so I could do with a spare one to keep at the second location with a towball on it so I have one at each place without carting the damn thing around all the time and ending up not using it that often. Any leads on possible sources? I could get one made up but due to the design it would probably be expensive to get made as a one-off by somebody on an hourly rate, to the extent it would be cheaper to just dump it and get a 2" receiver hitch with a couple of plates. --- 2006 Defender 110 SW 300Tdi • 2011 Ford Ranger XLT crewcab • 2015 Defender 110 Station Wagon Utility TDCi |
