Load area Exterior Protector
Hi all

I am looking for something that folds out the boot and covers the rear when loading.

Finding the push chair and wife isn't the tallest of combinations to lift in without catching bumper

Anyone got any recommendations?

There are a multitude of options. As the post above this one shows, you could get an aftermarket plastic cover. If you are looking for something more OEM, this is available (in the adventure, country and urban packs, as well as a separate accessory):

The rubber boot mat also has a thick fabric piece that you can fold out from underneath it, onto the rear bumper as a protector. However, I wouldn't recommend that as a bumper protector - but the mat itself is good.

Can't imagine why he'd want to put his wife in the cargo area but hey... I'm all for outside of the box thinking. Laughing

As for the OEM rubber mat with the flip out cloth cover. In my experience that cloth bumper cover never "gets deployed" ... ever. And its also very very thin.

In the end, I ordered a plastic stick-on cover for the top of the bumper that matches the diamondplate inserts on the hood. Looks very OEM and does a decent enough job of protecting the bumper from scratches. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package
