Less important for Diesel as it will not gas off at the rate Petrol does. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

my old golf gti would show 360 miles on a full tank of cheap petrol....420 on a tank full of premium 97-99 ron. and it would be noticeably quicker....it was tuned quite well Thumbs Up

i had a interesting tete a tete with an M5 one morning over the plain.....it was rather fast so premium fuels are probably best left for performance type vehicles.....not a transit engine!

Very useful, if like me you drive odd vehicles from time to time.
Indicated by an arrow on most vehicles or whichever side the filler pipe is on the symbol of a petrol pump.
Happy days Wink

Still not true....your having a bad day Rolling with laughter

Fancinating comments.

When I mentioned the above to my wife she said "oh good, that will save money, I now only have to spend 40 to fill up....." Banging Head BM52

Filled up with ridiculously expensive Shell V-Power Diesel for the last two tanks - no discernible increase in power, and fuel consumption was the same (actually worse) than with the standard grade. Back to the cheap stuff and 2-stroke then.
I know it's pathetic but I really thought there would be a difference Sad
Any other experiences?
Matt

hi Matt,
Why don't you try some of the other brands that are in Germany...avia? Aral? They should be cheaper and just as good, with having to use 2stroke. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)
