much of the heater controls, vent selector, fan strength etc has no backlight anymore.
LR want £600 as the whole panel 'must' be replaced... but not sure if theres a common fix? see many around with similar problems.. is is usually a bulb gone or wiring? Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

It's not all gone, and some of it comes on and off every so often. So I don't think it's a fuse etc, dodgy wiring is my guess but could be a bulb. Was just hoping there was an easy/common fix I suppose!
Will start with a poke around when I can Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Mine used to do this sometimes, as did the light behind the hazard light button. A good thump on the top of the dashboard seems to correct it... 2011 110 USW

This is a common fault and is most likely to be caused by bulb failure.
There are several (3, if I recall correctly) of those loathesome little capless bulbs which illuminate most of the HVAC control panel, and they are a common failure. They are not easy to get to, but the subjecty has been covered before on this forum several times. See The definitive "how to" courteasy of Custom90Steve, also this, possibly this, and maybe this may be of interest. I know from my own experiences that the LED replacements for this type of bulb do not work in this application - only the horrid incandescent things provide suitable lighing. |

At the moment my left hand side heat control back light keeps going off, by either turning back and forth or moving the slider next to it, it comes back on. Its probably been like that for a while, only noticed as the nights are pulling in. I will let the dealer look at it whilst its still under warranty, next time I'm across.

Get them to replace the lot otherwise you'll get others go at a later time. Always best to replace bulbs together. No Guts, No Glory.

My warranty rejected it, hence trying to sort it myself but we may be moving garages soon so maybe they will be able to do a better job of convincing the warranty engineer to sort it Cheers, David

Did you ever sort this? Is it definitely many individual bulbs, or is it a circuit board?
Half mine not working, and each whack I give I loose more Andy |
