It’s the same problem for many vehicles that don’t have a separate chassis, hence safe jack created the RennStand https://safejacks.com/products/the-rennsta...ingle-unit. A bit pricey to say the least, but cheaper in the USA than UK. Hence many people identify a different place to Jack from stand placement as you are trying to do. However these are an elegant solution if they are sufficiently high for a new defender.

I looked at those a while ago.
This is a long video but if you skip through to the salient points, the overall stability was a little worrying. There may be issues with interference with mudflaps also. The whole mechanics /physics of jacking, where the jacking point seems to describe an arc rather than a straight vertical lift means trying to lift all 4 corners becomes problematic. The real question is why and what are you trying to achieve? Remove one wheel at a time for most maintenance activities and if you need to lift an axle set, jacking a front wheel will usually lift the rear almost in concert and a standard stand can be placed before repeating on the opposite side. |

When I replaced the OEM All Seasontyres with the Duratracs the tyre fitter did the job on my drive using this compressed air jack. As he came with a mobile workshop complete with all the usual gear that a tyre shop would have the size of the jack wasn’t a problem

I just recently painted my brake calipers and I couldn't figure out how to get all four corners off the ground at the same time. I had to do one side at a time which is not recommended...it's better to do it with all 4 wheels off. I used a floor jack for the front jack point and the included scissor jack for the rear jack point.

Tip. Buy some ice hockey pucks to use as a pad on your jack. For other vehicles with Pinch Weld Sill Jacking Points
I have cut a slot across them .You can get the pucks online cheaply. |

I realized this is an old thread.
But I think I can make a clear answer to this question, which, as time goes, could be asked by many owner who might want to jack up their L663 for many reasons. There are total 8 supporting points under the vehicle, essentially 2 at each "corner". You can use the one under door sill to jack it up and use the other one nearby to put your jack stand.
