I know my issue is not of much interest, and I don't mean to be impertinent, but maybe it would be a good idea to open a new topic for DRLs and not mix it with problems about turbos? just to respect my initial interest! IMHO and Sorry, thanks. Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY

My apologies Ruben. Didn’t mean to hijack your thread. I should have PM’d instead. By the way, I’ve looked at my turbo and it’s dirty like yours, so will keep an eye on it. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Gentlemen, then no charitable soul willing to take a minute to look at his turbo, and see if you have that little bit of oil in that bent tube that I hate so much, only to calm the troubled soul of this poor mortal? this before decide to fall into the cruel jaws , and perhaps technically incompetent, of his dealer who surely disregards established tight torque settings values, and that he does not like to staple the cables again and that he considers it more appropriate to put only one screw out of every three planned because that saves weight and therefore improves CO2 emissions into the battered atmosphere. etc…etc…Seriously? I promise it only takes you 15 seconds, and 20 if you take a picture to post here later!!!.

Sincerely yours
Ruben from Asturias, Spain

I'm just going to write what everybody is thinking: continued asking and asking doesn't make anybody more inclined to look at their turbos. Don't take this in the wrong way though - if we get to it we get to it. It's also not like you have been ignored either, several people have already chimed in stating that they have similar residue on their turbo, therefore making it seem like it's a common issue that isn't really a source of worry.

Sorry, I just wanted to add a bit of humor, and maybe I succeeded in my language but I don't know if that intentional joking tone was achieved in yours, if not, here are my sincere apologies…but I have always believed that these are small advantages of being the initial creator of the topic..I am also surprised that in a forum with so many people concerned about the long maintenance periods of the manufacturer, about reliability problems in general, about the dilution of the oil itself and where oil changes are proposed every 10,000 km even… this topic had not come to light before… and that in this thread only 3 allusions had been made in a rather indirect way by the way… it surprises me…
…but. I repeat my apologies and yes, I envy you very much, I would also like to have the gift of knowing what everybody is thinking!!
😉
