Wheel nut thread
Just a quicky fellas.....what's the thread size for a Puma wheel nut/stud please anyone? I need to get a length of threaded bar for my spare wheel (new one's too big to fit the original), but I'm not sure of the size. The length I need I can measure easily enough Wink

Thanks! Mark

the Landrover Defender and Discovery and Range Rover which have Steel Type Wheels fitted to them and have wheel studs which are 16mm x 1.5. The hexagon size is 27mm

Googled Defender wheel stud size. First hit was Wrightons. which I nicked this from Razz

M16x1.5 is difficult to get hold off, the usual size for studding etc is M16x2.
I gave up looking and use M16x2 for my spare wheel mount and I'm meant to be an Engineer, but we rarely use metric threads because they are Censored the product of a Comittee designing something. 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper

I didn't need to get anything in the end! I just shifted the wheel over very slightly in the back so the bar now goes through one of the wheel nut holes, rather than through the middle & using the circular plate to hold it. Then just used the locking wheel nut to hold it in place. I hope it doesn't upset the balance too much!

Mind you, maybe it'll sort out the leaning to one side my truck has at the moment Rolling with laughter Mark
