Yes mine did this last winter. The dealer dried it out, and it’s been fine all summer, but I suspect it might go bad again this coming winter.
Be careful with hosepipes and jet washers. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

Great news. I really thought the quality of Land Rover products had improved. It’s reassuring knowing things have changed to remain the same. Can’t wait to see the first oil leak in my driveway.
You have mentioned jet wash and a few days ago I had the car washed… I bet the problem has been caused by that.. Only used the rear view mirror yesterday with the boot full to the top the rear view mirror is a bless. Don’t know how we have managed without it the last 25 Years of driving |

My 22 is at the dealer right now getting its windshield replaced due to water ingress right at the top of the windshield. The service manager was baffled that it happened on a defender as he said most of the leaky windshields happen on discos. On mine, the water was actually dripping down on top of my dash onto my pivi display.

I never really did see the issue with an old fashioned mirror tbh.

Sure we can live without tech. I love driving my 1976 volvo 240. However having a clear view when the boot is full to the top is of great help driving on the motorway. Don’t need to rely on side mirror and their blind spot.

It is a nice feature to have, and like you say it helps with a full boot. I have a dog guard and in reflective mode the rear view is poor when you take into account the wheel on the rear door, and the relatively small rear window.
My wife has trouble though, she wears glasses and says she has a problem focussing on the mirror in Clearsight mode. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

There’s a warning on the build program about the clear view mirror and glasses. I wear glasses (Varifocals) and have no issue now although initially I thought it was going to be a problem.
The foggy lens has only ever needed a quick wipe so far. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black |
