IIRC the vin is originaly written on the ECU and then it is registered into a EEPROM chip into the IPAC. I believe it is possible to erase/change the eeprom. I am sure somebody will come with a more precise answer. Finally, the known tuners will know the exact answer. Puma 110" SW

The IPAC eeprom would need replacing to change the vin and to change mileage if it needs to be reduced.
So called “ mileage correction “ ( clockers ) companies can do this. |
