ABS / TC
Looking for a 2nd hand tdci to keep me going till the new land rover in 2015!!!!!

Are there many issues with abs / tc playing up?

ABS, is there a marked difference in stopping distance between abs and none abs and will I notice it.( i know its only a land rover, but if I can stop quicker, it's worth considering.....isn't it)

Never had a problem with either on mine (2009 110).

Even with ABS stopping distance is a long way Shocked

ABS will not improve stopping distances - remember it operates by releasing the brakes to stop the wheels locking.
Its not much help if all four lock at the same time, like on ice Shocked
Where it will help is in helping you keep control if the wheels on one side of the vehicle lose grip.
Traction control, which comes as part of the ABS can help maintain forward motion in certain situations.

Most common faults seem to be with the cables to the sensors (I had one of mine replaced under warranty) or the shuttle switches in the ABS valve block, but are relatively easy to trace if you have a code reader that can read the ABS codes (Nanocom etc).
