Speedo needle jumping
On accelerating in 1st 2nd and 3d gear the speedo needle jumps up to 60-90 km/h and dropping back to the expected speed after a few seconds.

driving on the highway 6th gear below 100 km/h no problem, driving > 100 km/h occasional drop and rise of speedo needle with 10 km hour.
(false) Speed level is communicated to the ICU. It alters injection, air etc giving a horrible driving experience (shock wise).
tested the transducer-sensor of another car. didn't solve the problem.

anyone got an idea what might be the issue

I had this problem on the Td5 setup and the wiring had dropped so that it touched the prop shaft and had worn through the wires a bit. I'd be looking for a short somewhere. LR Workshop

Speedo issues
Hi, Did you get your problem sorted out?
I have a similar issue that I'm struggling to fix.

Thanks
Phil

I just consulted the WSM, the speed sensor is marked yellow. Will have a look later on if that part is present. Could it also be a loose contact in the cable to the cluster? I *think* it's #13, brown/red

i would suggest most likley a breakage in the speed sensor insert to the t box its a small box section or the wiring to it Cheers
