[SOLD] BAS2 RRC OBD Remote Remap Tool (2.4 or 2.2)

Having recently sold my Defender, I have a BAS Remap Tool for sale. £225 including fully insured postage to UK Mainland.

To get this to work on your vehicle, you will need to purchase the ownership transfer which is £36 (inc. VAT), then the map of your choice.

A new tool with the 150bhp remap from BAS is £774 (2.2) or £594 (2.4), 170 and 165bhp are more. The tool hardware only is £300 from BAS, so grab yourself a bargain.

I have used the tool once to install the 170 map on my 2.2 in 2019. Since then, its been stored inside the house. Was worth every penny, better fuel economy, smoother power delivery and all that POWERRRRRR!

Complete with USB lead and carry pouch. Full instructions for use are on the BAS website.

Taken from the BAS website, the tool also performs the following :

Diagnostic fault code reading and clear with worded text and snap shot data shown where present.
Live engine data logging with numerical and graphical views.
Save and export logs as PDF or CSV files.
DPF service functions, engine adaptation resets, clearing adaptive values.
Airflow meter reset, Fuel lift pump reset, Turbocharger replacement reset.
Storage of both original and tuned remap calibration files.
Injector coding reprogramming or replacement.
Defender 2.2TDCi oil counter reset.
Defender 2.2TDCi Renew security ID use for fitting new PCM’s

So is this £225 + £36 and that includes being able to remap a Defender. Or is it + the cost of a remap ontop?

The Remap goes on top of that - depending on your vehicle and the map you decide to go for, Pete (at BAS) will tell you the appropriate 'Tuning Related Add-on'.

Worth dropping him a line to discuss, he's a decent chap and they offer a great service.

What additional software do you need for the code reading and resetting function? Would it be an alternative to a ODB2 reader?

I can't confirm whether it gives you the full functionality of an OBDII reader, but I have taken this directly from the BAS site:

'The tool is an Engine ONLY tool, and only supports engine related functions like Fault codes read and clear, Live Data, ECU needed service resets, ECU Programming are just some of whats in its arsenal.'

The app is available for download on Apple or Android devices.

Still got this knocking around if anyone is interested, open to offers and can't recommend the improvements and service enough.
