Would it work without the 30mm spacer or would the turning circle not be as good ?

With 285s on Boosts but without the spacers, the turning circle is ideal for orbitting small planets but not much else (see also Pom's post above).

You can live with it, but negotiating car parks, and even some mini roundabouts, can be interesting and it really isn't convenient. With spacers, the original tunring circle is restored and there are really no adverse effects.

Be aware that with 285 MTs - especially with spacers - the outside of your truck will get covered in crud like never before. If you are a clean truck person, don't do it! if you think it looks better with mud, go for it, but keep the windows shut off-road!

My experience of 285's on the 90 was good overall. Now got them on my 110 and pretty much as pleased. My turning circle doesn't seem to have been too badly affected......they're not great in that department as it is though! Smile Mark

Guys, what would you say about getting extended bump stops ? Seen a few people talking about getting them when they got a bigger tyre size ?

Some picyures in my gallery with 265s on my 90. Didnt need to adjust bump stops.

Speedo is very slightly out by a couple of mph...

No Spacers, Boost Alloys. BFG ATs

It's the same with 265's on spacers Rolling Eyes

That would only be necessary for larger diameter tyres. 265/76/16's are essentially the same diameter as standard 235/85/16's. Darren

Personally I wouldn't use spacers with 265s but would (and do) with 285s.

Not sure why you would want to extend the bump stops unless you've lifted the suspension - you'd just reduce suspension travel.

Thumbs Up Really works well the black on grey.... Is your exhaust coming through the body on the side ?

Yes it's a side exit exhaust, full SS system from Twisted Performance. Sounds lovely!!

Interesting, with 285s on my 110 my speedo seems to be as close to spot on as I can measure (both timing off motorway distance markers and with a radar gun at a fixed object).

The effective rolling diameters of a 265/75 and a 235/85 are so similar as to make a negligible difference (the 265/75 is actually smaller than the stock 235/85) so if anything the speedo (on a 110 at least) should under-read more than before with 265/75s.

The 285/75 is approx 5% larger than the 235/85 and is would be highly unusual for a modern speedo to be accurate to +0%/-5%, i.e., to over-read by less than 5% anyway (since manufacturers are allowed to over-read by up to 10% but not to under-read at all, all speedos tend to over-read by around 5%). The result of this is that with 285s my speedo seems to be very accurate indeed.

Is a 90 speedo calibrated differently to a 110? I presume that it must be set up for smaller tyres.

Can this be reprogrammed with nanocom/BBS etc?
