Fitting Land Rover Seats and Belts in the Load Area
Hi,

Having purchased a set of Land Rover face-forward load area seats, I now want to fit them! I have yet to acquire a set of inertia reel seat belts for the seats. I have a 2007 Puma 110 SW which has been kitted out as a 5-seater from the factory.

Please can someone offer any practical advice on: 1. Trim removal for fitting the belts; 2. Locating and drilling the holes for the seat brackets; 3. Locating and drilling the holes for the belts; 4. Any advance warning on additional parts I may need to mount the belts to the tub.

All inputs will be gratefully received. TJ101 has kindly posted pictures of a 110 after the seats had been removed to get the ball rolling.

Cheers[/list]

Rear Seat Belt Tie Bar
In the pursuit of technical information about the factory installation of load area seats into a MY 2007 onwards 110, I have stumbled across a part which is only fitted with the 7-seat option 110 but is more routinely found on the 90 (where rear seats are fitted). It is a tie-bar or seat belt reinforcing tube that is through-bolted, using a spacer, to the rear cross member and is mated to the top surface of the tubs wheel box. This then becomes the strong point for through-bolting the rear load area seat belt anchor. The part, and its associated fittings, is called a rear seat reinforcement on Microcat but does, as explained, provide the chassis tie for the seat belt.

So having thought that removing the trim would be the key difficulty, it now turns out that fitting this device followed by the subsequent hole drilling will be the next challenge. Incidently, the inertia reel bracket that I thought I would have to buy had already been factory installed.

If anybody has any photos of the interior of a 90 or 110, without carpets, that is or had been fitted with the load area seats and that shows the location of the various anchorages, I would be most grateful to see them. Equally, shots of the underside showing the top and bottom locations of the tie-bar/ tube and which show which of the captive nuts is used for the seat brackets (protruding torx screws) would be great.

Thanks.
