BAS 170bhp remap
Nothing to say really, except I set off from Berkshire this morning at 8am, arriving at Petes at 11:45am for the 170bhp remap.

Just got home at 16:30 feeling relatively okay considering I've been stuck in the Defender for 450miles, and no funny noises, nothing has fallen off or broken....all very dull really in the world of Landrovers.

Anyway, so pleased I had this done, she drives much nicer with plenty of torque where I want it, and feels more civilised in traffic with less 'kangarooing' in 2nd gear.

Thanks again Pete at BAS Remaps.

(Bet the wife still hates it🤔🤣)

Any other mods other than remap??

Still got the dpf and egr in place? Bigger intercooler?

Looking to have this done myself! Should make it better on fuel too shouldnt it?

No other mods, and DPF and EGR still in place.

My commute to my office is a 160mile round trip which consists of the A34 and M40, so it gets a good run, so I'm not to worried about the DPF.

I did spend a considerable about of time eliminating the driveline slack through replacing the gearbox output shaft (very worn!) for a Aschroft unit, the rear half shafts have been replaced with 1 piece items and I've removed and refitted the rear diff pinion flange, but using Loctite 660 on the splines as I was getting a noise from the rear diff where the flange was actually moving on the diff pinion.

All of this has completely reduced the driveline slack.

So now with the remap, I can drive it a little harder without being so mechanically sympathetic (within reason!).

I'm expecting it to be better on fuel, but too early to say yet.

My TD5 was remapped and I was getting about 50 miles more out of a tank of fuel.
