The utility style rear on that has really made me love the 130.
The rear looks just right. It just looked too long with glass running right to the rear. Perfect vehicle that is! 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS. |

With the utility rear, is it classed as a commercial and VAT qualifying?

Finally got to watch it this morning.
I was half expecting a couple of black clad Albanians to arrive as he was talking and drive off with the RRS… It did look good in the snow. |

I believe it would require a 1 tonne payload to count as such (the same as the old 110 Utility did) |

Interesting, the Landrover website quotes the 130 towing weight as only 3000kg?

I really like them they are the best replacement for the D3/4. Sadly I was denied by mrs RDR, we had a 130 as a loaner and she sent me a picture of it sticking out of her parking bay with no cars able to get around it.
If they had re jigged the exhaust and slung the spare wheel underneath it would have been super. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE RR MY23 HSE PHEV D5 MY19 HSE - Now Sold D4 MY16 HSE Luxury - Now Sold D4 MY12 HSE - Gone D3 MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten |

No, all the Land Rover vehicles I have had, had spare wheels on the back. This is right place for it.
Click image to enlarge .... even on the Freelander 2 [swing-away] and the 'slide-out' living trailer [Freelander 1],I built had easy access spares. All under-slung wheel stowage, if it be inside the boot or outside the floor plan is a pain in the rrrr's !!! |

He's right about it being the car the D5 should have been, except it needed a split tailgate.
The D3/4 was damn good and super parctical. If LR do make a D6, let's hope they've listened. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

I noticed that the SatNav etc. was reading in miles... counter productive I would have thought when road distances, speed limits etc. are in km.
Doesn't the display change automatically when on the continent (like my common or garden Tom Tom)? Or did the driver(s) deliberately go "old school"? Peter |

Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Loved the boot space of the 130… just couldn’t live with the huge derrière overhang that would greet me every morning.
The Cd factor along with the winds would be the biggest factor in the drop in MPG. Drag goes up by the square of speed. Then, Harry being 4 up with luggage and skis you’re looking at least 250kg more than just 1 person. Add that to the 200kg difference with the RRS, and you’re looking at close to 1/2 a ton. Last night in my D300 110 I did 41 mpg over 40 miles with mixed ~80/20 motorway and urban, with an average speed of 49mph. Birdy- you can change units in the pivi pro or map application of choice via CarPlay/Android Auto. I assume Harry wanted to stick to miles. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |

Such a great video - I have the identical one but with off road tyres. It is long, but the boot space is exceptionally useful. Only had it a week so haven’t filled it up yet to find the true mpg.
