I've been poking around under the bonnet of one of these today. Got loads of details from the engine management too, but it's a new one, so can't read it just yet.
Got some photo's of the changes that have been made to the new model, which I will upload to my server shortly. |

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Bonnet release handle... Click image to enlarge Revised rear door handle. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And this is something I spent most of my time interrogating. A 'Continental' ECU! Not giving anything away Daniel, but I have managed to exctract a lot of information from it, which I have passed onto the tuning tool manufacturers. Progress has been made today. |

That fan cowl is huuuuuuge!
I suppose the holes in the rear door handle are to save weight? |

I've not driven it, but I am told that it has more low end torque than the 2.4, and then less from the mid range onwards. |

Siemens Continental ECU. Siemens were recently bought out by Continental, hence the name change. This is an all new ECU though. |

Well they make good "speedy" road tyres. Shame about their MTB tyres though... Not sure I agree with "Continental Sieman" though - sounds a bit wrong... Would love to hear a test from one of you guys rather than just Autocar. Right, off to do some night MTBing using my "old" 2.4 Puma to get me to the starting point... Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
