I only just recently drilled out the Freelander jets, they were corroded & a pile of crud came out. I only ever put clean water in tank with some debugging detergent. So don't get it.
While at it I drilled out the 4 holes, can't quite remember the starting point, but I think about 0.55mm (I have drills down to 0.3mm, they are tiny) & drilled up in steps of 0.1mm stopping at 0.85mm. you do need to drill up in steps to avoid snapping a drill bit. beyond 0.85mm the pressure was going to drop a bit too much I feel. With a 5L tank there's still enough water between refills. But now I am happy with the increase volume on the windscreen. Use some cutting fluid on the drill bits. Visitor - Freelander owner |

Instead of using a detergent in the washer fluid, add a few tablespoons of white vinegar: it'll keep the lines clear and give you a very clean & strek-free windscreen --
