Preconditioning not working
I’ve had my p400e for about 2 months and have always used the preconditioning before a trip out, while it’s plugged into the wall charger to benefit from the timed climate. However, I’ve noticed more recently that when I get in the car it’s cold and there has been no cabin preheating. Has anyone else experienced this and I’m wondering if the electric heater isn’t functioning correctly, as I’ve also had the occasional’EV temporarily unavailable’ pop up, albeit not from the start of a journey? Any advice welcome.

I was just about to create a post for the same issue re preconditioning. Plugged the vehicle in to charge yesterday afternoon, set a departure time of 6.15am in the precondition section of the app and the timed climate feature selected. When I got in this morning, nothing which is the 3rd time ive tried to no avail

I'm pretty sure you are not able to use electrical preconditioning if the car is plugged in. On the app it allows you select whether you use the petrol engine or battery for preconditioning power. Try using electrical preconditioning again but ensure the car is not plugged in. Alternatively leave it plugged in and select petrol engine on the app. See if the preconditioning works for you then. Current: MY22 P400e SE

You can definitely use electric for preconditioning but the app doesn't always remember the setting for using the battery. My advice is to check about 15mins before the preconditioning starts to make sure the setting is set to battery.

I definitely use it when it's plugged in so it draws the power from the EV charger rather than deplete the battery and range

ok, maybe its just because I only have the 'granny charger' ie the one that connects to a household socket, rather than a dedicated EV charging point Current: MY22 P400e SE
