Once you have registered with HMRC for VAT I believe the answer is yes.

The VAT phone helpline is very helpful. Suggest you phone them and double check.

There was me thinking you wanted to reclaim VAT on goods inwards rather then charge it on goods/services outwards.

Good luck.

Do not be afraid of contacting the VAT helpline if you make mistakes. They would rather have people saying we have dropped a clanger, how do we sort it out/correct it and make the necessary adjustments.

VAT is fun NOT!

Quick tip for you as I've always found in difficult to get 'more' off people later. Issue the first invoice for the whole amount with the VAT element included but stating something like 'VAT invoice/reciept to follow'. So if you are going to invoice £100+VAT send out an invoice for £120 with no VAT then reissue the invoice for £100+VAT. Much easier than trying to get an extra £20 of people in a months time.

JK No the other left . . .
