Noise on and off power
Hi, please bare with me as I am very new to this site. I have a PUMA 110, and at motorway speeds I get a noise when going on and off the, sound's like it is coming from below the driver's / passengers seats!
Does anyone have any ideas?

could be worn prop UJ's, transfer case bearings, gearbox bearings, wheel bearings?....few things it could be.

one good place to start is the props and then work back throguh the transmission if it is a whine type noise on or off power. Defender 130 HCPU TD5

What sort of noise?

If it is a knocking, tapping type sound it could be you have a two pin front diff, which would soon like to leave you.

This can be checked via the front diff fill hole and some torch action. 👍🏻

Do you have a local garage that can put it up on a lift so that it could be ‘driven’ and then the area can be better pin pointed instead of buying parts and chasing noises.

Might be better to do than speculating
