As said, the VCV. Also check if the fuel pump works. I guess it should spit fuel through the fuel pipe located just before goes into the HP pump. Puma 110" SW

I thought the VCV is only fitted to the 2.4. The 2.2 has a different system I.e a lift pump in the fuel tank.

The 2.2 does have a VCV, however i’ve not read any posts on one failing. Unlike the 2.4 where it is a common issue.
That’s not to say in this instance it’s not the VCV, but faults seem to be vary rare. Noting that the absence of any DTC’s tends to point to the VCV. Have you replaced the fuel filter recently? Have you drained the fuel filter to see if there is any water in it ? When you turn the ignition to 2 , but not start the engine, can you hear the pump in the tank circulating fuel ? Worth checking the fuel pump relay and fuse in the seatbox https://www.lrworkshop.com/wiring-diagram/...fuel-lines NB- if you do decide to change the VCV here is a great how to for the 2.2 https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic86260.html?highlight=vcv |
