It will dry, so can't see any issue.
It's a good idea, I intend to do the same myself over this coming winter. We have a Honda, but a small hole or two appears in the deck so will need rubbing down, repair and filling. Painting and undersealing. I'd also consider using stonechip first too. Nothing can stick any more than wet grass would already anyway so it wouldn't be a concern of mine. |

Had pretty much decided to give it a try anyway Will look at getting some stonechip too. Its new so thought this would be a good time to protect it |

It would indeed, you need to stonechip first though and you'd have only one opportunity.
A little costly but I would personally use Autotek etch primer, then Autotek stonechip and finally the Dinitrol. I'd say amounts wise. 1x 2x and 2x. Aerosol would do and total cost probably about £40. Then you could ACF 50 the winter bits for extra protection too as well.

As steve suggested above - Sand down completely and then 1 coat etch primer, 2 coats stone chip paint and then 2 coats of Dinitrol. Cannot remember what brands of primer or paint I used.

I applied Autotek Stoneguard over Etch Primer which was applied on clean bare metal. There appears to be what looks like crazing in a small area. I was just wondering what has caused this for future reference. It's the first time I've ever used spray paint. I allowed 24 hours for the Etch Primer to cure as per the instructions. Would you advise sanding it down with wet and dry sandpaper? If so, what grit would you recommend?

Funny enough swapped my Honda izzy deck this week! It rusted out in 16 years so pretty good really.
I applied a coating of Gtechnic ceramic and a top coating. Don’t know how long it will last? But it lasts another 16 years I’m ok with that

I'm into detailing and use some Gtechniq products. They make some great products but too expensive to use on my Mountfield lawnmower.

Yeah it's good stuff i have a fair bit in the collection over the years.
didn't use much tbh, i wanted to give it a clean smooth surface so it would wipe down easier and not hold on to debris, I'm sure the routine of cleaning it will go out the window soon enough  2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

not a bad job that at all,
A youtuber i sometime watch repairs lawnmowers, from the engine to the decks. Pays peanuts for the lawnmower, spends a few hours and its back up and running again.
Friend of mine took the mick out of his next door neighbours, He fitted a stiffer spring or something like that to his, to make it sound more aggressive. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |
