Correct Tyre Pressure - 110
I collected my 110 D300 from the dealer in Thursday and have a query around tyre pressure (is set for light load)

According to the Instrument Panel, they are between 40.6 and 42.6 PSI which is above the recommended figures quoted in brackets via the screen which states 33.5 Front / 36.3 Rear.

The iGuide states the tyre label is located on the passenger side - however the only label I can see is obscured by the front / rear doors (unless I am missing something) - I have 255/60/R20 Goodyear Wrangler.

Is is normal for them to be set so high or just how the factory ship the vehicles and should I just deflate them to the recommended values?

Probably done for transport so they are at least, at or above recommended pressures when collected by the customer.
Just put them to the pressure recommended, you will likely find it in the owner manual somewhere.

I highly doubt it is anything to worry about. Thumbs Up

Legally manufacturers have to display a label with recommended tyre pressures.
These days with different wheel/tyre combos and the laden/unladen spec the labels are often quite confusing.

On my Defender the label is on the drivers door.
Inconveniently very low on the door so I have to grovel on my knees to remind myself. Big Cry

Thanks Clemmo,

Followed your advice, mine is also very low on the drivers door - I looked everywhere else around the vehicle that was obvious and based on previous cars owned.

Just in case people dont understand, tyre pressures when warm will be higher.

The pressures quoted on the label and on the dashboard are for cold tyres.

However, even if the tyres were warm , i would only expect an increase of 3-4 PSI.

So i think you have grounds for complaint..

Not to get too geeky here but I think the ‘recommended’ pressures on the dash change with temperature too. For mine they change between around 36 and 41 for the rears for example depending whether I’m stationary or driving at speed. Clever stuff!

Would just match what the computer wants yes unless you are doing something specific Cheers, David

If you check it and change it when cold, then you will know it’s a reliable benchmark as they should be adjusted when cold anyway. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
