Yank Tank
Currently on holiday with the family in the States and the bland mid-sized SUV hire car developed a fault and has had to go back. No similar sized vehicles in stock and so we've been given a Ford F150 pick-up truck to play with Laughing It's an absolute barge of a thing, with an interior from the late 80's and a front end that's had several taps from the ugly stick. It has plenty of power though, and a 10 speed auto so will be fun to hoon around in for a couple of weeks:

They do like their pickups. I was amazed by how many I saw when I was over in 2015, especially the ones with the twin wheel rear axles (per side!!).

However it's difficult to call them out on this when we have the vehicles we do.

Please also take your time, re look at the picture of the 150 and look with envy at the size of the car parking space… Laughing

The Yanks know that when you arrive at a car park you actually want to get out of your vehicle to shop and not like the UK that once you have removed the wax from the nearby BMW there is no way you can open the door and you have to find somewhere else to park….

My personal favourite when I have been out there is the Ford F250 Super Duty. Just make sure you get the snow plough accessory for the winter…..

It’s also funny how small FFRR’ and Disco 4’s look over there.

You can keep your roof top tent…… Whistle

I hired one in Florida 25 years ago and it had 2 fuel tanks and only cost $60 to fill up!

Those were the days....... Cheers Don.

It’s funny that when you rock up at the pumps your brain is still in litres mode, then you go to pay and realised that they price per gallon….. Rolling with laughter

Oh happy wallet.
