Thanks Procta. Is this behavior the same on these boxes from new ? Or that means that it’s beginning to wear ? No issue while downshifting. Don’t know if you’ve driven one from new. Thanks for your feedback Very Happy

One of the lads had a recon box i think, and that was the same. So i gather that's how they are. Rovers PG1 and R32 gearboxes always had the crunchy going into reverse. It was just how they are Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
