Can’t agree with you there- The second hand dealers here were offering more for EVs and hybrids than the list. Same for second hand vehicles with decent miles, everything on the second hand market has higher miles due to the shortage of new vehicles.

EVs are nearly as big of a con as these windmills Whistle

Depends on what they bought it for.

I put the ID3 up for 18k and had a few tyre kickers(no viewings). 1496 views in a week of the advert. 3 calls. So the dealer had it in for p/ex for £15500 (3months ago it was £21k). They put it up for £19995 and sold it in a week.

This person makes no bones about where they stand on EV cars but it is an interesting read.

Two interesting articles in today's mail online. Sorry I've not a clue how to link them.

Its in the media so it must be correct.

There has been a loss over the last 6months and or a correction. I looked to change the ID3 back last November and trade value was 30k. In June it was 15.5k but with an additional 12k miles on the clock. Plus we bought a Volvo and as a business buyer you are given a straight 15% off RRP. (So no inflated trade in values)

That said I only paid 29k for the ID3 in Dec 2020 and trade value for the ID3 would have been low as we do high mileage. (highest on Autotrader)

Now if you said are EV cars overpriced. I would say yes. I good example is the ID Buzz. Is that worth £66k. To me, no, when you consider what I paid for the ID3 in late 2020.
