TD5 Belt buckle
Hi,

My TD5 (2002)s belt buckle covers/casings are disintegrated and I'd assume, MOT/TüV/CH equivalent would like to see a complete set installed instead of the broken ones. As the car is still on the lift, replacing these would be at the moment an easy one. I note that the TD5 belt buckles (EVL104360 / 70) are the ones with the metal frame that goes below the seat rails. However when googling for parts, I note the long "holmed" ones (for example BTR4373) are also mentioned to fit?

I am going to order the TD5 ones but was curious to understand how much these are swappable? This also as the TD5 units are around 100 pound while the non TD5 units are around 50-70. Sometimes it feels like the TD5 parts are more expensive than the non-TD5 or Pumas

After finishing the front I'll also need to deal with the second row seatbelts .. but that a moment later

Thanks for sharing your insights. Td5 110 Station

The large brackets (EVL104360) incorporate the 2 point lap belt for the center seat. Maybe that option (not the safest) was later removed?

The larger bracket as two mounting holes, but only one has back nut while the other is just a through hole (bolt and nut required). When I changed my bracket for the same reason there was only one bolt and I added the additional bolt-nut for good measure.

Both are approved so I would think both would be allowed by your average OCD local Swiss Tester.

Which bolts did you use? I am needing to replace my brackets and both bolts - ebay has plenty of brackets but they are all boltless!

I used the same size bolt from my extensive defender bolt and nut collection. The new bracket came with one bolt that threads into a captive nut. M10 I recall. The hole is already there in the bracket and seatbox so it was a 2 min job.

Yeah M10 normally flange head bolt with a 15mm hex though. These tend to have thread locker on them so can be tight to get off.
