I noticed a funny little button on the underside of the driver's side footwell on my Td5 bulkhead whilst repairing it. I wondered what it was at the time but have just noticed it again whilst cleaning up post galvanising. After a bit of looking at pictures online, it seems it should actually be a stud, mine has just been cut/snapped off.
Does anyone know what it is used for? Highlighted in the below photo from ebay: Click image to enlarge Cheers, Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Earth strap cable to front bulkhead rigger goes there. There’s a stud and then a rivet type nut on the bulkhead rigger face.

Cheers, must have not had anything fitted on mine when i dismantled it then as there was no earth link there. Makes sense though. Will fit a new riv-nut to the bulkead and something on the chassis for an earth link.
