Headlight protectors
I got a giant rock/wheelnut dent in the front of the bonnet, just above the headlight. A few mm lower and I'd be looking for a replacement lens..

Has anyone found a subtle headlight protector? The Powerfuluk ones attach with clips that look a bit clumsy. I was hoping they'd be less noticeable, but they look like a nerdy kid's glasses.

I’ve rarely actually see a headlight broken on any car - think the defender ones are polycarbonate and pretty tough.

If you’re worried though perhaps a layer of strong clear tape might help to take the sting out of an impact. “Helicopter tape” or similar perhaps? Cheers, David

Not to subtle or cheap, but being stainless they should stop rocks damaging the headlights

l've got the stainless ones on my Commercial. No issues cleaning the headlights or surrounds, just push a sponge through.

Just type "Defender L663 headlamp protectors" into Ebay

Couple of tips for fitting.

Before sticking them on, offer them up to the headlights and bend them slightly so they sit perfectly on the headlight surrounds.

Remove the double sided tape and get some 1cm wide 3M tape instead. The standard tape that they come with loses its adhesive properties in very hot weather and one of mine just fell off while we were parked!

Use two layers of tape. l found that in places they touched the wings above the headlights and with two layers of tape it created a small clearance.
Not sure that matters, it's up to you.

Powerful U.K. also sell them, but more expensive, l don't know if theirs are better in any way, but these Ebay ones l fitted are great (once l replaced the tape)
