It would be a big shock to JLR if the maker imported them and sold them at Chinese prices……… Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Sorry, they can make it as rugged (looking?) as possible, but a true offroad vehicle and BEV don't mix.

^^^^^^ Who's going to use them off road though? 90% of New Defs in the UK never go off road.
Within 6 years of now, 80% of all passenger vehicles sold need to be electric. In 11 years that goes to 100%. |

Good job there's plenty of old Defenders and Jeeps around then!
It's interesting to see that nobody has yet tried to make a fully electric off road vehicle. l guess it will work, but l wouldn't want one. |

That does look promising although there's a way to go with it yet. They've launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds.
The website will let you configure and order one, very much like the Grenadier. Click image to enlarge |

I really find EV's look hideous.... I know they have a really tough job of trying to get aerodynamics totally on point so they get the best range etc, but they all look just look ugly to me - at least those that are aiming to be the more generic vehicles. The only EV's I've ever liked the appearance of are some of the motorbikes or where someone has retrofitted an an electric engine into an original ICE car.
