Tow Hitch Advice for towing Caravan (ALKO) on '63 110
Looking for advice on tow hitch's.

Recently acquired a '63 110 Station Wagon with the below tow hitch and looking to tow our twin axle caravan that has an Alko Hitch.

I am struggling to find measurement's/ advice on how to identify if the tow hitch I have is suitable or if I need to replace, where to source or get a tow bar company to do it or local Landy specialist?

I also need to upgrade the electrics from 7 pin to 13 pin on the truck for ATC stability etc...

So I am guessing it is not a '63, but more like a 2013.

From what I can see looks like it is the correct setup. If you zoom out a bit we can see how it is fitted to the car.

The 13 pin electrics provide a bunch of relatively non-essential features. You can retrofit a 13pin receiver correctly - if you are handy with electrics, but for towing you can just buy a 7-13 converter.

The additional 13 pin features are things like fog lights, reverse lights, fridge power with or without the engine running. Nothing to do with actual towing (brake, indicator etc)

In the USA they only need three wires to do the same. Go figure.

Thanks for that.
By chance found a Lady specialist who works next door to a tow bar company and £30 later all sorted..

Because they have combined brake/indicator lights. Less lamps, less wires....
