So I am guessing it is not a '63, but more like a 2013.
From what I can see looks like it is the correct setup. If you zoom out a bit we can see how it is fitted to the car. The 13 pin electrics provide a bunch of relatively non-essential features. You can retrofit a 13pin receiver correctly - if you are handy with electrics, but for towing you can just buy a 7-13 converter. The additional 13 pin features are things like fog lights, reverse lights, fridge power with or without the engine running. Nothing to do with actual towing (brake, indicator etc) In the USA they only need three wires to do the same. Go figure. |

By chance found a Lady specialist who works next door to a tow bar company and £30 later all sorted.. |

Because they have combined brake/indicator lights. Less lamps, less wires.... |
