We've used Rural Retreats before ( www.ruralretreats.co.uk ) and found them to be super helpful, easy booking process and good properties.

We had used Cottages. Com for over 20 years. During the covid lockdowns and rules stopped us from numerous different households from sharing our holiday.
We expressed this reason with them and they were not helpful or understanding of the situation.
It took me nearly a year to get the refund.
Since then I have avoided them and the parent company Hoseasons.

Customer support and care from them is rubbish and very disappointing.

We've used Vrbo recently and found it a decent platform, all correspondence seems to be directly with hosts who have always been accommodating with no onerous T&C's 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone
2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW
