2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red

Reversing light switch

Hi All. I need to replace the reversing light switch on my 2.2 Puma and wondered what the part number is (there seems to be several variations and I’d like to refit an OEM one). Does anyone know it and where’s best to buy one?

LR077773 - DEFENDER REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH - FITS VEHICLES FROM 2007 ONWARDS (2.4 AND 2.2 PUMA ENGINE)

Buy genuine LR, original. It's only £7 more and works.

Thanks for this. I’ll get one and have a go at doing it.

It’s wonderful, isn’t it? How many times do you end up having to fix something which, on any other vehicle other than a Land Rover, would usually outlive the car!!🙄

I tend to agree with your sentiment, but we must bear in mind that we expect our Defenders to last longer than most lesser vehicles. It is frustrating though when modern, non-serviceable parts parts fail on a Puma Defender when the equivalent part on a 70-year-old Series One is still working fine. It's a pity that Toyota never bought Land-Rover.

Things are certainly not what they used to be!
