There is a spare pipe point on top of the fuel pump in tank,
I used that on my old Td5 |

Hi landyash, did you have to remove the pump to insert a extra fuel line inside for the pick up?
I’ve seen you can get these type kits where you drop the line in from the top & was wondering if one of these would work, I’ve no experience with this but how different can aux pick ups be? Click image to enlarge |

There is a capped off connector to the right and down a bit of the electrical connector. It is even listed in the WSM as a fuel burning heater feed pipe... Number 1...

Hi geobloke
Thankyou for replying, is there a fuel line attached to the under side of the aux port (1 Fuel burning heater feed pipe connection) inside the tank or does the sender need to be removed for a line to be attached. Just for clarification my defender is for a 2.2 2015 110 utility. Which if I was using the scavenger I believe it’s the same part as the td5 as both have 60mm fuel neck. Sorry my wording in previous reply was probably misleading when I mentioned extra fuel line |

Ah well I confess I had to search for this answer... Apparently you need a 30cm long pipe to insert in to the fuel pump connector... https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/49882-eberspacher-in-a-td5/ Also from this forum there is a Defender fuel burning manual that mentions an installation kit JEI100030 which I believe is LR's fuel pipe that fits in that blanked off connection... https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u...to%207.pdf But it (JEI100030) might be obsolete, who knows... This is what the pipe looks like and it would be simple to DIY https://britcar.com/product.php/122997/549..._not_order Best I can do... |

Thank you so much that’s a big help, I’m going to wait for the heater to arrive and see what it comes supplied with first then make the decision whether to drop the tank or shell out another £100 for the neck scavenger from overland.
