Re Fumoto valves - no risk of them getting knocked off when offloading and losing all the oil?

There is always a risk of knocking it out.
Heck, you could be driving down the road, and risk a large rock hitting the valve just right. Not sure how well the valve would be protected by the skid plate on the Defenders, though. It's not something I'm installing on my Defender, because I use the vacuum method to change the oil. But if I didn't use the vacuum method, I'd have absolutely no qualms about installing a Fumoto valve in the oil pan.

I have them installed on FORD pick-up trucks, as well as some larger off-road going vehicles. No issues.
