I hate to think so, I already got a quote from WBAC £8k but that’s before they view.
Let’s be honest who’s going to buy a car that costs £12.50 a day to drive? And loads of people will sell shortly and flood the market. I’m thoroughly gutted. I don’t have the capital and can’t be arsed to get another personal loan to upgrade to a euro 6 defender or go electric. Just lost as to what to do. I’m not confident in second hand conversions.
A couple of companies offer conversions to ULEZ compliant engines or electric even. Still out of price range. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

The problem is its a moving target, you might update your vehicle to a compliant standard today at great expense, but then that becomes unacceptable again in a few years.
On a related note, there's been quite a bit in the fleet press this week about the forthcoming Euro 7 standard which will also be taking into account emissions from tyres and brakes as well as the exhaust... Some of the finer detail of that includes systems to prevent any aftermarket tampering of the emissions (no remaps?) and the ability of the authority to interrogate the vehicle through its life to ensure it is always complaint with the regs. https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/environme...20lorries. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

https://www.cybrand.co.uk/defender Looking into this…they are approved to convert the 2.2 TDCi Puma models to Euro 6…this is then registered with DVLA so you can drive in the zones…but bloody expensive…around £7k..if Khan really cared he would offer grants to convert….but we all know it’s about revenue… The big worry is you convert then they change the goalposts again… Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW |

In terms of goalposts they are already in the process of the next stage.
By that I mean that they have calculated that in the next few years revenue from fines in London will drop off then pay by mile will be introduced. Conversions are a waste of money as by the time the costs have been recouped you will be paying again. |

Think it depends on circumstances …. I sadly live in the new expansion zone … so after 528 uses at current cost it is break even…think Euro 7 is inbound from end 2025 so will be close…plus the daily charge will no doubt increase…
It is a sad day when you have to hope Euro 7 is pushed back as manufacturers are unsure when they can comply as only just published by EU… Then what’s next? Those that have bought a current Euro 6 will they be immediately penalised as that will affect new £80k Defenders as well as every other car on the road including electric… My only other thoughts for converting are it will actually make my pride and joy better for everyone as I drive…plus it is likely to add value …not that I will sell it… Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW |

I’ve given up trying to keep up. We bought a petrol 2000 nope that’s not good so got a diesel in 2007 when that was the saviour to humanity, then told no no you need a petrol so bought a petrol in 2013 to be told nope needs to be a euro 6 diesel so we bought a Vw t6 Cali 2018 which is euro six and now in 2 years it needs to be euro 7.
Seems someone’s taking the ! Local authorities joined climate emergency charter few years back so only a matter of time before they ban my landrovers locally . I give up . Have advertised 110 but zero interest not even from Canada and USA Have fun be happy |
