Drilling is all into a plastic bit of trim - not the bodywork...

Thanks l don't mind about the plastic trim because that's not going to cause corrosion in the long term.

There's no rush. Next year will be fine, in which case l will fit them myself.
I no longer get stressed about this kind of thing. Spent too long shouting at parts suppliers! Have to get the vehicle first, which means securing the sale of my old Defender |

I had a chat with the LR Experience guys earlier this week. They indeed confirmed that they dont add mudflaps because they can be torn off when reversing up steps/over boulders.

Yeah, ripped one off mine reversing over a rock. Managed to bodge it back on though but the damage was all to the flap and not the vehicle. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews
