2nd Row Door Water Shedders
Afternoon,
Hoping someone with a late Td5 or TDCI could confirm for me where all of the water shedder sheets go on the second row doors please?

From what i can work out from the parts diagrams there are three 'water sheddders' for each door:
https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...mbly_44875

Item 3: (ELD500400/410) which is the main door shedder which is a similar shape/size to the door cards. I have these.
Item 13: (ELD000100/110) which look similar to item 14 but have two strips of adhesive. I have no idea where these go but as they are listed for vehicles with central locking i suspect they might go over the locking solenoids?
Item 14: (EJD500010) which is the same as the ones for the front doors and somehow hangs over the main door latch unit i think.

Cheers

I've just finished putting sound deadening in my 2014 TDCI 110, so might be able to help.

Item 3, yes, the big full size cover for all the openings in the doors. And you have this one, so no questions there.

Item 14, yep, I'd struggle to tell you exactly where it fits, but I recall this sitting inside the door covering all/part of the lock mechanism.

item 13... I don't recognize this at all. Mine has central locking.

I didn't fully strip the door down ( I didn't really want to disturb the window winder mechanisms), so its possible its in there somewhere and I missed it, but it looks pretty large so I'd be surprised.

Unless of course mine is missing something, I'll look out for other replies here!

It's always cracked me up that they call Item 3 a "water shedder" since all it seems to do, in my experience, is direct any water in the door into the door check mechanism and hence all over the rear mats in the second row footwell.

In the end I became so fed up with regular puddles in the back that that I made my own, conventional style water shedders with heavy duty polythene sheet that direct the water into the drain holes and hence out of the vehicle.

I suppose the originals do shed water, but only Land-Rover could come up with the idea of shedding it inside the vehicle! Rolling with laughter

Excellent cheers all, those photos of Don's have answered some other questions for me too! Thumbs Up

Certainly not going to waste money buying the ELD0000100/110 shedders as they are quite expensive for a bit of plastic.
